Dominic has been with us since July of 2013. He was part of a large effort to rescue 72 burros that were are risk for slaughter.
Equine Voices mobilized a group of concerned individuals and other rescue organizations and assisted in saving each and every burro. Equine Voices took seventeen, and found homes for all but three.
Dominic and Rosie had a jenny, Rosetta, in 2018, and they are all happy in the burro habitat. He is the only male donkey in our herd. He loves to make noise when food is on the way. You can hear their excitement throughout the Sanctuary!
Dominic resides at the sanctuary and is looking for someone to sponsor him. $50 a month provides for his daily care.
