Gabe was surrendered to us on June 9th of 2024, by his owner. Unfortunately, they could no longer appropriately care for him due to their own health issues.
He was significantly underweight, and will be placed on a starvation bowl protocol to assist in getting him back to a healthy weight. His teeth were horribly neglected, which contributed to his weight loss. After a good dental float and his new diet, he now has the tools to thrive.
Today, Gabe is doing well, although he and his herd are relatively shy. He still gets special treatment with extra bowls just for him! He has gained a significant amount of weight back and he looks and feels so much better!! He spends his days roaming with herd-mates, Sylvia and Archangel Michael.
