Rae

Formerly known as Princess Rae, this stunningly beautiful mare came to us in May of 2022 after being seized by the Sheriff’s Department. Unfortunately, Rae’s path to Equine Voices was not an easy one. She had been abandoned and clearly abused.

Since her arrival, we have tried using many different forms of therapy, and had professionals work with her.

She spends her days with her herd mates Angelique and Spirit, where she is often found napping.

Volunteer Babs Felix: “Rae has a passive-aggressive personality. We all know she has trust issues and has bitten volunteers on occasion so we all have been cautioned to stay 10 feet away from her. But she frequently will follow a tour group as we walk around her enclosure, sticking her head out in-between the rails as if to say ‘pet me.’ If only we safely could!”
