Ziggy is a former Premarin mare who arrived at the sanctuary in 2005. Ziggy is very loving toward people and other horses.
Ziggy and Sela came from the same PMU farm and have never been separated, so they spend their time together exploring their corral. Ziggy wears a protective mask because she has an ear deformity. While it does not appear to bother her, she is such a mess maker at meal time that food debris often found it’s way into her ears.
Due to her advanced age, to keep her at her happiest and healthiest, she receives special grain bowls every day, and LOVES to make a giant mess at meal times.
Did you know that for only $50 a month, you can sponsor a horse like Ziggy? This support helps cover the cost of her day to day care.
